Here we are, at Camp Kitchen Sage! I know it doesn’t rhyme, but it makes sense. It makes sense for us to capture an audience that may be overlooked this summer. Just like our Culinary Leadership Academy, the camp is about employable skills and culinary arts with opportunity for the campers to make some pocket money!
So the camp is 8 weeks booked solid with fun and new experiences, a day camp with opportunity! The campers start at 8am! REALLY, because the first lesson is showing up and showing up on time. Then for 3 hours Chef Justin and Chef Karen feed their stomachs and minds. THEN OFF TO WORK! The students go to amazing work sites that include the YMCA, New Holland Brewery, Meals on Wheels, That Polish Girl Catering, and Lincoln Square. All purposeful food, all opportunity for growth.
But at the end of the day we hope they are having fun!
